As a Skitube Concourse Attendant, you'll work on train platforms across Perisher's iconic Skitube Alpine Railway. You are often the first and last Perisher team member guests interact with each day, making strong customer service, clear communication, and a calm, professional approach essential.

This role suits people who enjoy being active, working outdoors in alpine conditions, and contributing to the smooth operation of an essential transport service.

About the Role

Skitube Concourse Attendants play a vital role in the operation of Perisher's unique Swiss-designed rack and cog railway, working across Bullocks Flat, Perisher Valley, and Blue Cow terminals.

The Skitube provides all-weather access to the resort via one of Australia's longest underground rail tunnels, descending up to 550 metres. As part of the Concourse team, you'll help ensure guests travel safely, comfortably, and on time.

On the Platform, You Will
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of Skitube trains, platforms, and terminal areas
  • Manage boarding and disembarking processes, assisting guests with luggage and trolleys
  • Assist Train Drivers with door operations to support punctual services
  • Monitor ticket gates and provide clear, friendly resort and transport information
  • Manage guest flow and crowd movement on platforms
  • Regularly remove snow and ice from platforms, entrances, and terminal areas during winter conditions
  • Deliver consistently high levels of customer service in a busy, operational environment

  • Willingness to work outdoors in winter alpine conditions
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, hearing, and eyesight

To perform the inherent requirements of this role, you must be able to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and carry as required.

Important Information to Consider Before You Apply
  • Skitube Concourse Attendants are Rail Safety Workers and must comply with the Rail Safety National Law 2012
  • Employees are subject to random, targeted, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing
  • A zero-tolerance approach to drugs and alcohol applies while on duty
  • Availability to commence 2 day mandatory training in June
