Salary: £44,925

What to expect

• Use a logical approach to fault finding to diagnose and repair faults on control circuitry.
• Support Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations to BS7671:2018.
• Carry out Electrical Equipment Testing (formally known as Portable Appliance Testing) to IET Code of Practice 5th Edition for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
• Support the servicing, testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems to BS EN 50172 / BS 5266.
• Ensure compliance of electrical installations to DSEAR & ATEX Regulations.
• Identification of new Low Voltage Electrical distribution and equipment.
• Ensure environmental compliance at all times and relevant legislation is adhered to.

What you'll need

With expertise as a skilled maintenance engineer, you'll utilise your technical and problem solving skills to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, and drive operational efficiency; therefore you'll need:

• Expert knowledge of Low Voltage electrical distribution systems.
• C&G Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations - BS7671:2018 including Amendment 2. (2382).
• Working knowledge of plant engineering and building services activities (HVAC, gas, water, air & electricity).
• Good knowledge of Building Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of Condition Based Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Mean Time Between Failure & Mean Time to Repair principles.
• Working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out, Safe Systems of Work and Preventative Maintenance processes.
• Ability & willingness to be flexible with working hours/ shift at short notice.
