We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and dedicated Sixth Form Learning Coach to join our successful Sixth Form team and play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs. About the Role This position combines the best aspects of a Learning Support Assistant and Learner Mentor role. You will work closely with Sixth Form students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing a blend of academic, pastoral and emotional support that enables them to succeed both in education and beyond.As a trusted adult, you will: Support students in lessons, study periods and one-to-one interventions. Deliver the provision outlined within EHCPs and help students achieve their individual outcomes. Encourage independence, resilience and confidence in learning. Supervise and create a calm, purposeful Sixth Form study environment. Provide mentoring and emotional support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, the SEND team and external professionals to ensure every student receives the support they need.Who We're Looking ForYou will be someone who genuinely believes in the potential of young people and enjoys helping them overcome barriers to success.We're particularly interested in candidates who: Have experience supporting young people, ideally in an education or SEND setting. Understand the needs of students with EHCPs and additional learning needs. Build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues. Are calm, patient, organised and resilient. Are committed to inclusion, safeguarding and helping every student flourish.
