Site Supply Chain Director

Position Overview:

My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Supply Chain Director to lead and optimise all supply chain activities at the Barcelona production site. This role is critical in ensuring seamless end-to-end supply chain performance - from demand planning and procurement to production scheduling, logistics, and customer delivery - in a make-to-order (MTO) manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of navigating complexity and driving continuous improvement. You will be a key member of the site leadership team, working cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all site supply chain functions: planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and customer service.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and customer requirements.
Ensure robust planning processes to support make-to-order production, minimizing lead times and maximizing on-time delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance agility, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Collaborate closely with production, quality, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
Monitor and report on key supply chain KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
Proven experience in a make-to-order or highly customised manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced planning tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead change, solve complex problems, and drive performance in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong advantage.
