The Regional Site Payments Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the Site Payment Analyst group, across all therapeutic areas in a specific region. This role will be accountable to ensure all Site Payments made in a specific region are made in accordance with the site contract and ontime.
What You Will Be Doing:- Managing the end-to-end investigator payment process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contracts and regulations.
- Overseeing the calculation, tracking, and processing of payments to investigators and clinical sites across multiple studies and regions.
- Collaborating with clinical teams, finance, and legal departments to ensure alignment and compliance with payment terms and agreements.
- Functional Oversight of SPAs in assigned region
- Primary escalation point of contact for payment related inquiries raised by study team members and regional SPAs
- Oversee training for new/incoming regional SPAs
- Work with Global Site Payment Manager for resourcing and assignments within associated region
- Provide insight for regional perspective related to budget templates, Payment Exhibits in the CTAs, and configuration of Subject Visit from EDC report
- Help maintain processes specific to assigned region
- Ensure consistency in regional Site Configuration in vendor payment system
- Ensure alignment of Site Payment processes and approach globally
- Oversee regional compliance, to ensure payments are approved ontime.
- Attend leadership and training calls pertaining to a specific region as requested by Global Site Payment Manager
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred, with experience in investigator payments or financial operations within clinical trials.
- Proven experience in managing financial processes, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process optimization.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to be able to interact with internal Vertex groups as well as external groups
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Able to proactively identify project opportunities, challenges/risks and implement appropriate actions with some supervision
- Ability to work in a matrix, cross-functional team
- Ability to understand, clearly articulate, and defend escalated payment requests and approvals
- Thorough understanding of global payment processes across multiple countries
