Job Description
Be the Backbone of Recycling: Join Us as a Site Operative

Location: East Grinstead

Working Days: Monday and Thursday (2 days per week)

Working Hours:

  • Summer (01 April to 30 September): 08:45 to 18:15, with a 30 minute unpaid break
  • Winter (01 October to 31 March): 08:45 to 16:15, with a 30 minute unpaid break

Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour

As a Site Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our recycling centre runs safely and efficiently. From assisting visitors to maintaining the site, your work will help create a cleaner, greener community.

Your core responsibilities.
  • Support the day-to-day operations and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Assist visitors in sorting and recycling waste effectively.
  • Keep the site clean, safe, and organized.
  • Prevent commercial and non-compliant waste from entering the site.
  • Promote recycling by maximizing waste segregation wherever possible.
  • Be part of a team making a tangible impact on the environment and the local community.
