Site Manager - Retail New Build Project

Location: Northampton

Rate: £270 per day

Duration: 18 Weeks

Start Date: 2nd November

Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a retail new build project in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager with experience delivering retail, commercial, industrial, or fast-track construction projects from groundworks through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Maintain programme targets and monitor project progress.
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.
• Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage site documentation, daily reports, and quality inspections.
• Ensure works are completed to the required specification and standard.

Project Scope:

The project consists of the construction of a new build retail unit on a retail park and will involve:

• Groundworks
• Foundations
• Structural steel frame installation
• External cladding package
• Internal dry lining works
• Associated fit-out and finishing elements

Requirements:

• Valid SMSTS
• Valid First Aid at Work
• Previous experience managing new build construction projects preferably on a retail park
• Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme delivery
