Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our Leeds depot team. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The Site Manager is a hands on leadership role, requiring strong organisational and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of site operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Plan and manage daily site operations, including labour, plant, and materials.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor site progress, maintain accurate records, and report to management on project performance.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and management teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Identify and resolve issues or delays promptly to minimise project disruption.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on site.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman/Manager (preferably in the Hire and Sales industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Competent in record keeping, reporting, and using site management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
  • CSCS card (Supervisor level or higher).
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
