Construction Site Manager - Isle of Wight

Island based candidates preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a large refurbishment and construction project across the estate at HMP Parkhurst.

This is a site based role with 15 months still left to run on site for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily on site management of contractors and coordination with the Project Manager.
• Act as the key liaison between the contractor's site team and the client to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Manage daily escort requirements, including permissions for operatives, materials, vehicles, and tools.
• Support planning and coordination, including designer planning and safety.
• Oversee site documentation, including RAMS, inductions, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Support project handovers and ensure completion of O&M manuals and asset registers.

Qualifications

• Strong background in construction management.
• CSCS Manager or Professional card.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations.
• Previous experience managing contractors on secure or sensitive sites.
• Familiarity with NEC3 contracts.
• Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification.
• Prior experience working within prison establishments.
