Job Description
A leading UK developer and contractor specialising in purpose-built residential care homes, with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality, care-focused environments. The business operates a fully vertically integrated model and is recognised for excellence in design, build quality, and regulatory compliance within the care sector. Role Overview An experienced Site Manager is required to oversee the delivery of purpose-built care home projects across Essex and East Anglia. This role is ideally suited to individuals with a strong background in care home construction or similar specialist healthcare/residential developments. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities from groundworks through to project completion, ensuring all work meets stringent regulatory, technical, and quality standards associated with care environments. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations on care home construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure efficient project delivery Ensure projects are delivered in line with specifications, programme timelines, and budgets Maintain compliance with Building Regulations, fire safety standards, and care sector requirements Enforce Health & Safety regulations and company policies at all times Drive quality assurance to achieve high-end finishes suitable for regulated care environments Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and successful handover Essential Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a Site Manager on care home developments Strong understanding of traditional construction methods Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in Construction Management Black CSCS Card SMSTS (current) First Aid at Work (current) Full UK driving licence and access to own transport Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
