We're supporting a Birmingham school in recruiting an experienced Site Manager to take strategic responsibility for the school premises from April 2026.
This is more than unlocking gates and checking boilers. It's about leading the site team, keeping children safe, and making sure the school environment runs smoothly, safely and professionally every single day.
The role at a glanceYou'll take the lead on the overall management of the school site, including:
Strategic oversight of the premises and facilities
Line management of site staff, including workload allocation and appraisals
Overseeing and monitoring external contractors
Ensuring high standards of security, maintenance and site organisation
You'll be the go to person for ensuring the building supports learning, not disrupts it.
Your key areas of responsibilitySecurity Ensuring the site is secure at all times and procedures are followed consistently.
Health and Safety Promoting a strong safety culture across the school and ensuring all tasks are carried out in line with regulations.
Maintenance Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance to keep the environment safe, clean and fit for purpose.
Resources and Organisation Managing site resources effectively and supervising staff to ensure high standards are maintained.

This is a full year position, working 36.5 hours per week, with some flexibility required to cover staff holidays and ensure the smooth running of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
