If you are passionate about what we do here at Gleeson and are considering a new challenge, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our Construction team. This role involves managing the on-site team, working with external partners and subcontractors, and collaborating with our onsite Sales team.

Main Responsibilities:
We're looking for proactive people who genuinely believe in what we're doing-building homes, changing lives. We need collaborative leaders who positively influence teams and can communicate effectively across departments, both on and offsite. You'd reinforce directions set out by the Contracts Manager and Construction Director, helping to deliver the development safely and on schedule. We need people who lead by example.
The role includes:
- Managing the development to maintain and deliver the build programme in accordance with budgets and forecasts, ensuring the final product meets Gleeson Homes standards.
- Full responsibility and control of all site staff and subcontractors, including labour-only groundworkers/contractors, ensuring compliance with our Health and Safety standards.
- Liaising with head office, NHBC, and local authority departments.
- Timely ordering of materials to ensure the build programme can be achieved.
- Ensuring all NHBC inspections are carried out as required.
- Carrying out handover inspections of properties to customers in accordance with our customer care procedures.
- Addressing customer care defects promptly in conjunction with our customer care team.
- Actively encouraging a philosophy of safety, progress, quality, and innovation.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Site Manager working on high-volume new build housing developments is essential. You must have extensive knowledge and experience managing labour-only groundworkers/contractors.
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes.
- Experience in successfully achieving customer service requirements.
- Awareness of relevant codes of practice such as NHBC, Building Regulations, etc.
- Proficiency in using Zutec and Digital Plot Books is mandatory.
Qualifications & Training:
- SMSTS Qualification
- CSCS Card
- First Aid Certification
- Fire Marshall Training
- Scaffolding Certification
