Role Profile

Based in Lough Egish & reporting to the Head of Operations - Consumer, the Lough Egish Site Manager is responsible for managing the Site and process in order to achieve the highest levels of customer service in full accordance with its compliance and budgetary responsibilities. The role holder will be people and customer focused, and will promote and ensure a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Lough Egish Site Management Team in the delivery of Site Performance across Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality, Customer, Throughput, Financial, and People related KPIs
  • Manage plant operations, providing continual leadership for managers and staff, whilst supporting the development of individual team members and the site leadership team as a whole.
  • Promote and ensure a culture of positive employee engagement.
  • Ensure proactive compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Continually role model LEAN principles in manufacturing such that its key principles are sustainably embedded across the site and its people.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling strategy in terms of the site and its performance, people and its assets.
  • Collaborate closely with central and cross functional teams - in particular, Commercial, Planning, Finance, R&D, Quality and Governance whilst promoting similar behaviours amongst direct reports.
  • Develop and manage, on an on ongoing basis, Annual Budget Plans and compliance to site budgets.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years Management experience within the Food, Pharmaceutical or Beverage manufacturing sector with experience in manufacture of products used in sensitive or specialist customer applications an advantage
  • Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving, changeable business environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to nurture and develop employees, creating a culture where employee engagement is to the fore
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment Knowledge of Shingo Model an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
