THE PROJECT

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a healthcare project in Kilkenny.

This is a multi million commercial project working closely with the projects team. The client has long term projects in the local area.

The successful Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day running of the project and site operations.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, engineers, design team, consultants and client representatives.
• Monitor progress and identify potential programme delays or issues.
• Manage site resources, including labour, plant and materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements are strictly followed.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, snagging and project close-out.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
• Lead and motivate the site team to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within a Main Contractor environment.
• Previous experience on commercial, healthcare, refurbishment or structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and project delivery.
• Excellent subcontractor and site team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet programme deadlines.
• Relevant construction qualification is desirable.
• Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.
