Job Description

Salary: £13.81 per hour / £28,803.79 per annum

Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Type of Employment: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • General maintenance tasks - completing ad hoc repairs and minor fix work across the site.
  • Facilities upkeep - carrying out routine duties such as painting, basic decorating, and small improvement works.
  • Manual handling duties - safely lifting, moving, and transporting materials and equipment.
  • Site cleanliness and waste management - keeping the site clean and tidy, clearing waste, and segregating recycling in line with site policy.
  • Driving maintenance vehicles - operating site vehicles to support maintenance and operational tasks.
  • Grounds maintenance - supporting outdoor upkeep including basic landscaping, clearing, and general grounds care.
Skills and knowledge we are looking for
  • Full UK Driving Licence - able to confidently drive site vehicles, including vans, as part of daily duties.
  • Counterbalance forklift qualification - trained and certified to operate counterbalance equipment safely.
  • Maintenance & facilities experience - practical skills or strong interest in general repairs, gardening, basic carpentry, and hands on upkeep.
  • Outdoor working capability - physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all weather, and used to manual tasks.
  • Health & safety awareness - understanding of safe working practices, PPE use, and hazard identification.
  • Basic tool proficiency - able to use common hand tools and small power tools confidently.
  • Problem solving mindset - able to spot issues early and take initiative to resolve or escalate.
  • Teamwork and communication - works well with site teams, contractors, and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly.

£35,000 - £40,000 plus car allowance (OTE up to £52,500)
