Job Description

Gwel an Mor is part of the Cove UK family, a coastal resort based in the stunning village of Portreath, a beautiful little fishing port which sits just outside of Redruth in South Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:

• Role model the company values and behaviours at all times: Hospitality, Passion, Trustworthiness, Excellence, Stewardship, Kindness
• Lead, motivate, and manage the grounds team to deliver consistent, high-quality grounds maintenance
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily and seasonal work schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
• Train, support, and develop team members, including health & safety practices and equipment use
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate key information effectively
• Oversee maintenance of lawns, hedges, flower beds, trees, pathways, and outdoor communal areas
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of grounds equipment and machinery
• Assist the team with complex or specialised groundskeeping tasks as needed
• Manage seasonal projects such as planting schemes, landscaping, and winterisation

Experience/Skills Required:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Practical knowledge of grounds care machinery and safe working practices
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Basic understanding of health and safety legislation
