POSITION SUMMARY:The Site Lean Manager is responsible for implementing the site's AMP Focused Improvement Pillar as well as providing leadership to the leads of the other pillars at the site level. This role is also responsible for actively driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and eliminating waste to enhance efficiency and improve profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions:- Lead a team of Manufacturing engineers in identifying, developing and implementing Lean initiatives
- Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, eliminating waste, reducing lead times, and improving overall efficiency.
- Identify and implement lean tools and techniques that align with the company's goals for operational excellence and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with various departments, including production, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure a holistic approach to lean implementation across the site.
- Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles and practices to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Mentor and coach teams in the application of lean tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowering employees to actively participate in lean initiatives.
- Implement tracking for AMP performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives and track improvements in operational efficiency.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of AMP initiatives, highlighting achievements and areas for further improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical field. Lean / Six Sigma certifications a plus.
- Excellent leadership
- Demonstrate expertise in lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to drive results and influence others in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service aptitude to support internal and external customers.
- Computer proficiency.
- Possess a proven track record of at least 5 years in lean management, with a focus on implementing lean principles in processes within the manufacturing industry.
