Our client is looking for an experienced Site Fitter to join their installation team, delivering high-quality laboratory furniture and specialist interior fit-outs across the UK.

Working as part of a two-person team alongside a Site Supervisor, you will install laboratory furniture and specialist fixtures within schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in kitchen fitting, joinery, shop fitting, or furniture installation who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

The Role

This role is similar to kitchen installation and involves fitting:

• Laboratory furniture
• Cabinets and storage units
• Shelving systems
• Specialist fixtures and fittings
• Sinks ready for plumbing connections (no plumbing or electrical work required)

You'll work from technical drawings to complete installations to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Install laboratory furniture and specialist interior products.
• Assemble and fit cabinets, worktops, shelving, and associated fixtures.
• Fit sinks ready for plumbing connections.
• Read and interpret installation drawings.
• Assist with unloading, handling, and positioning materials safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Ensure all installations meet company quality standards.
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work professionally within schools, laboratories, healthcare facilities, and commercial environments.
• Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience in kitchen fitting, joinery, furniture installation, shop fitting, or a similar role.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous experience installing laboratory furniture.
• Experience working in schools, healthcare, or commercial construction environments.
• IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
