Job Summary:

The Site Engineering Manager will lead efforts to optimize manufacturing efficiency, lean manufacturing, utilization, and the introduction of new products into the factory. This role requires applying knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and analysis techniques to select, develop, and optimize methods and tools, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.

The Engineering Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define capabilities, evaluate opportunities, and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of manufacturing engineers, CNC programmers, automation engineers, process improvement engineers, and other technical staff to meet site objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and standards using TPS tools like TPM, Kaizen, process design, 6S, etc.
  • Handle disposition of non-conforming materials, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive the NPD stage gate process for new parts and materials, ensuring smooth transition into manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain process control specifications in collaboration with Quality and Application Engineering.
  • Oversee Industry 4.0 deployment, including automation teams, MES platform design, and digitization projects.
  • Manage CAPEX projects from initiation to implementation.
  • Lead the commercialization of new materials and parts into manufacturing.
  • Assess skills gaps and implement training and development plans.
  • Provide coaching and evaluate team performance regularly.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 10 years in manufacturing roles, preferably with GTC processes and technologies.
  • Experience with TPS and Six Sigma; Lean Practitioner or Green Belt preferred.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies and Industry 4.0.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Edgecam) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) is preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Standing frequently, walking frequently, sitting occasionally, lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs, hearing and vision abilities required, and ability to solve problems, make decisions, supervise, interpret data, organize, read/write, and communicate regularly.

Manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to high/low temperatures, noise, and fumes.
