Site Engineer - Galway

A leading Galway-based contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team delivering a range of commercial and residential construction projects across Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to develop their career while gaining exposure to a variety of high-quality projects with an established contractor and strong pipeline of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying duties using GPS and Total Station equipment


• Support the Site Manager and project team with daily engineering activities


• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme


• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress on site


• Carry out quality checks and maintain accurate site records


• Prepare as-built drawings and project documentation


• Assist with technical queries and resolving site issues


• Support health & safety procedures and site compliance


• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience as a Site Engineer within construction projects


• Experience on commercial and/or residential projects preferred


• Strong setting out experience using GPS and Total Station


• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications


• Good understanding of construction methods and site coordination


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• Relevant degree/qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering


• Full driving licence and right to work in Ireland
