Your new companyA leading tier one civil engineering contractor is delivering a major package of works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of secured work across the programme, they are seeking a Site Engineer to support the delivery of key earthworks packages.
Your new roleAs a Site Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of large-scale earthworks on a high-profile infrastructure scheme. Working closely with the Section Engineer and Site Agent, you will be responsible for setting out, ensuring quality compliance, and assisting in the day-to-day coordination of site operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Setting out for earthworks operations, ensuring accuracy against design drawings
- Assisting with the coordination of site activities and subcontractors
- Supporting QA processes, including recording inspections and maintaining site records
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with specifications and tolerances
- Resolving technical queries in collaboration with the engineering team
- Assisting with short-term planning, progress tracking, and reporting
- Promoting and maintaining high health & safety standards on site
- Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to earthworks, drainage, or structures packages
- Strong setting out skills and use of surveying equipment
- Understanding of QA processes and site documentation
- Ability to work effectively within a site team and communicate clearly
- Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
