Bartholomews Agri Food Ltd is a long established, future focused agrifood business supporting farmers across the South of England.

At our major grain storage and export facility in Shoreham Port, we have a permanent full-time opening for a hands on, practically minded Site Assistant to help keep the operation running smoothly.

About the Job

As a Site Assistant at Shoreham Silo Services, you'll be right at the heart of the action - supporting the day to day running of a busy grain storage and export operation.

This varied, physical and rewarding role includes:

• Sampling and testing incoming grain deliveries, managing our intake processes
• Manging our intake process and recording crop quality data
• Assisting with ship loading operations (training provided)
• Learning to operate the silo control panel and understand grain storage management and maintaining correct storage conditions
• Helping with general maintenance around the site
• Flexing your hours during busy periods (including some seasonal evenings/weekends and at each Harvest)

You'll receive full training, close support from the Site Manager, and the chance to develop valuable skills within a vital UK industry.

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

• Practical, enthusiastic and keen to get stuck into hands on work
• Comfortable in an active role that involves manual handling and working at height
• Eager to learn new equipment and processes

It's a bonus if you have:

• Experience in logistics, storage, forklift operations or a similar industry
• A forklift licence (or willingness to complete refresher training)
• Experience driving a Volvo shovel loader
• A full UK driving licence or reliable transport for early/late shifts during peak season

You'll become an integral part of a close knit team and someone who can be relied upon to help cover key activities across the site.
