Site Agent (Civil) - Leitrim

DOE: €70k - €80K

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Site Agent to oversee site operations and support the site management team on a project in the Longford/Leitrim area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual looking to expand their project management experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all on site activities to keep work aligned with the project plan and resolve issues quickly.
  • Develop and manage schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Allocate materials, equipment, and personnel efficiently.
  • Carry out regular risk assessments and put mitigation measures in place.
  • Provide safety training and enforce compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Inspect work regularly to maintain required quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Monitor budgets, track spending, and apply cost controls to avoid overspending.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of a Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Civil Engineering experience essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and work in methodical and efficient manner.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Confident liaising with sub-contractors, engineers, and site managers.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
