We are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator to join a busy operational site in South Normanton.
This is initially a temporary position, with the potential to become permanent for the right person. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident handling a varied range of administrative duties.
You will be providing day-to-day administrative support to the Site Manager and wider operational team, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same.
The Working EnvironmentThis role is based within a busy, heavy industrial operational environment, rather than a traditional office setting. The site is active and practical, with industrial operations taking place around the office environment.
As a result, candidates should be comfortable working in an environment that can beindustrial in nature, with the sights, sounds and occasional odours associated with heavy industrial operations. The office is part of the wider operational site, so this role would suit someone who is happy working within that type of setting.
The RoleYour responsibilities will include:
- Raising purchase orders and communicating them to suppliers
- Tracking purchase orders and following up on outstanding orders
- PO matching and ensuring paperwork is completed for Purchase Ledger
- Dealing with Purchase Ledger queries
- Managing and ordering PPE and consumable stock
- Managing first aid stock and placing orders when required
- Sourcing and ordering tools and equipment from suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining good working relationships
- Providing general customer service and administrative support
- Setting up new supplier accounts
- Setting up and organising external hauliers
- Supporting the organisation of flake exports
- Providing general administration support to the Site Manager and operational team
- Ensuring information is accurate and submitted in a timely manner
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous administration experience
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is organised and able to prioritise their workload
- Has a proactive "can-do" attitude
- Is confident picking up new tasks and learning new processes
- Can work independently as well as part of a team
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Is comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal teams
- Can manage deadlines and ensure work is completed accurately
- Is comfortable working within a busy industrial/operational environment
Previous experience with purchase orders, purchasing, procurement, stock control or supplier administration would be highly advantageous.
Working HoursThis is a full-time position, with some flexibility around start and finish times.
The available working patterns are:
- 7:00am - 3:00pm
- 8:00am - 4:00pm
- 9:00am - 5:00pm
