We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic nursing team on the Elective Orthopaedic Ward. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change.
The successful candidate must have experience of working in an acute ward environment with a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of the unit in an effective and efficient manner.
Experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics would be desirable.
You will be a clinical role model and must have a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as your own professional growth.
You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
Main duties of the job- To function as an competent clinical practitioner within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- To deliver direct patient care whilst coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
- To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
- To ensure that there is efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.
We are a 14 bedded ward providing various Orthopaedic surgical interventions for patients with known Orthopaedic conditions, to improve quality of life.
The successful candidate would be working within a well established team.

Person Specification- RGN, Paediatric specialties RSCN, Operating Theatres RGN or Registered ODP.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional development/ qualification relevant to area of speciality.
- Extensive post registration with recent experience in an acute ward setting.
- High level clinical skills and knowledge.
- Experience of successfully coordinating, managing and leading a team on a day to day basis.
- Involvement in Nursing audit and Research.
- Experience of working within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Experience in undertaking preceptor/mentor role.

£38,682 to £46,580 a year per annum / pro rata
