Job Description
Overview
Want to help shape the future of wind service delivery?
At Full Circle, we're not just turning turbines-we're turning up the dial on wind service innovation. We're looking for a Siemens Authorising Engineer to take the lead on safety, support, and specialist insight across our Siemens turbine fleet. This is your opportunity to join a fast-moving, independent renewables team-and become the technical cornerstone of safe, efficient, and scalable operations across Siemens platforms.
Responsibilities- Safety Leader for Siemens Technology: You'll serve as an Authorising Engineer under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) - owning the documentation, training, and compliance framework that keeps Siemens operations safe, structured, and audit-ready.
- Technical First Responder: From remote resets to site based interventions, you'll support field technicians and control room engineers dealing with complex Siemens turbine faults, collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers to turn faults into fixes - fast.
- AWP & RAMS Maestro: Develop and maintain Authorised Work Procedures (AWPs) and Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) across Siemens turbine models, forming the operational backbone of field activities.
- Main Component Supporter: Working closely with the Major Components team, you'll provide technical support during swaps and retrofits - ensuring all CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements are met and that safety stays front and centre.
- Quote Process Collaborator: You'll feed technical inputs into our quoting engine, working hand in hand with the commercial team to price Siemens scopes precisely and execute with confidence.
- Data Driven Safety Analyst: By analysing turbine statistics and operational data, you'll generate insights and reports that help us continuously improve safety standards, reduce recurrence, and optimise service delivery.
- Troubleshooting Trailblazer: You'll lead investigations into technical issues, producing detailed audit reports, root cause analyses, and improvement recommendations that benefit the entire fleet.
- Beyond the Turbines:
- Project Enabler: Assist in launching new Siemens projects - ensuring smooth handovers, technical alignment, and field readiness.
- Training Partner: Collaborate with our training team to level up Siemens knowledge across the Ops floor - upskilling technicians, engineers, and support teams.
- Process Improver: Constantly challenge and refine inter departmental processes - developing smarter workflows, clearer documentation, and more consistent execution.
- Modification Maker: Drive performance through practical innovation - designing technical mods to boost availability, extend component life, or enhance site safety.
- Walkdown Wizard: Conduct on site inspections for new projects, spotting issues early, flagging components, and setting rectification timelines that keep us on track.
- Solid experience with Siemens wind turbine platforms (onshore).
- Authorising Engineer status (WTSR) or eligibility to obtain it.
- Strong technical background - electrical, mechanical, or multidisciplinary.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for safety and operational excellence.
- Comfortable working across remote support, site interventions, and documentation.
- Electrical qualification SVQ/NVQ level 3 or above with 5 years experience in an engineering role specifically focused on wind turbine technology.
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Authorising Engineer (WTSR) or 5 years as an Authorised Technician (WTSR).
- Driving license.
- Analytical experience.
- Proficient MS Office skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to prioritise responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
- Experience in providing customer service support.
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi tasking skills.
- Familiar with OEM design procedures and systems.
- Ability to travel - occasional travel will be required.
- Proactive attitude.
- Gearbox endoscope inspection experience.
- HV awareness / AP or SAP qualifications.
- SCADA knowledge.
- Experienced working at heights (ideally with GWO's).
- Valid Health & Safety certification.
- Experience with CAD.
- Knowledge of the CDM regulations.
- Main component replacement experience.
