Your local British Red Cross shop offers a range of activities for volunteers, from sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing excellent customer service to our donors and customers. It is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones.
About the roleWe are currently looking for volunteers who enjoy speaking to people, have a positive outlook, and are confident in learning how to use a shop till.
Typical activities- Using the shop till to take payment for items
- Promoting Gift Aid to maximise fundraising potential
- Helping and advising customers
- Undertaking general activities in the shop
No experience is required; full training will be provided.
When can I volunteer?A few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we ask that you agree on hours you can attend and inform us of any changes.
