Job Description

Shop Assistant - Salford Precinct 67 - 68, Fitzgerald Way, Salford, M6 5HW - 15 hours per week over 2 3 days including weekends on a rota, £12.71 per hour plus reward and benefit scheme.

As a member of the retail team, you will help us inspire communities and contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help create a well presented shop and provide great customer service.
  • Sort, size and manage stock; lift heavy goods or furniture as needed.
  • Help maximise donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed levels and stock planning.
  • Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring health and safety is a priority.
  • Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
Minimum Essential Criteria
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Cash Handling/Till work
  • Basic IT skills (emails, instant messaging, video calls)
  • Organisational Skills
  • Lone working experience
Desirable Criteria
  • High street retail, leisure or hospitality background
  • KPI and target experience
  • Team Player
  • Merchandising/Stock rotation
