Shift Supervisor (Tunstead Stone)

Shift Supervisor (Tunstead Stone) - Tunstead Quarry (4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts)

Lead from the front. Drive performance. Keep operations moving safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarry, crushing, processing and dispatch operations.
• Drive a strong health, safety and environmental culture.
• Coordinate shift teams to achieve production and performance targets.
• Manage plant issues, breakdowns and operational challenges.
• Deliver effective shift handovers and operational reporting.
• Coach, develop and support operational teams.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and operational deviations.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred but not essential).
• Experience within quarrying, heavy industry, manufacturing or process operations.
• Visible and proactive approach to health and safety.
• Strong communication, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable under pressure.
• Experience delivering team and operational performance targets.
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
• SHE NVQ (preferred).
• Quarry regulations knowledge and technical qualifications or experience with mobile plant and processing equipment (advantageous).
