Double Days: 5:45am - 2:15pm & 1:45pm - 10:15pm (with handover)
Are you an experienced Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor or Shift Supervisor with a background in precision engineering, CNC machining, toolmaking or advanced manufacturing?
We're looking for a hands on manufacturing leader who understands the realities of a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment. This is not a warehouse, logistics or retail management role. You'll be leading skilled manufacturing teams, ensuring production targets, quality standards and continuous improvement are delivered across a busy production facility.
The Role- Plan and execute the daily production schedule to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate labour, materials and machine capacity to maximise production efficiency.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled manufacturing operatives and technicians.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor team capability and support training, coaching and performance management.
- Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to maximise machine uptime.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and manufacturing procedures.
- Promote a positive safety and continuous improvement culture across the shop floor.
Essential:
- Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing, precision engineering or machining environment.
- Background as a Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Lead or Shift Supervisor.
- Ideally from a CNC machining, CNC Miller, CNC Turner, Toolmaker, Toolroom, Precision Engineering or Mechanical Manufacturing background.
- Strong understanding of production planning, machining operations and shop floor processes.
- Experience managing KPIs, productivity, quality and continuous improvement.
- Confident leader with the ability to motivate skilled manufacturing teams.
- Good IT skills including Excel, Outlook and production reporting systems.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous hands on experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Turner, Toolmaker or Machinist before moving into leadership.
- Experience within precision engineering, electromechanical manufacturing or high specification production environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Root Cause Analysis.
