Shift Operations Technician

As a member of the Station Operations and Maintenance Team, you will contribute towards delivering on the day to day Operational and Maintenance requirements. You will be responsible for running the plant both from the control room and onsite, following procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and commercially effective operation, including performing routine tasks, diagnosing faults, and restoring equipment after breakdowns. You will be expected to perform operational duties on a shift basis as required. You will collaborate with Engineering & Outage teams, supporting plant shutdowns and recommissioning as required. As the trend towards increasing volumes of renewable generation continues, you should expect maintenance routines to form an increasing part of your core role.
Job Requirements and Experience- Hold a relevant engineering or operations background in electrical, mechanical, or C&I disciplines, with HNC, ONC, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experienced in all aspects of power plant operation and maintenance, with solid knowledge of safety management systems, including Safety Rules.
- Possess effective communication and collaboration skills and be proficient in business IT applications like Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management Systems.
- Self motivated, willing to learn new skills, and able to work with minimal supervision while providing support to the team and adjusting to new responsibilities as needed.
- Possess in depth knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and regulations.

- Salary TBC dependant on experience and up to 10% annual bonus
