Salary: £29,950 per year - 39 hours a week

We are seeking a Shift Engineer to support the Engineering Team in maintaining hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and compliance at the highest standards.

What will I be doing?

As a Shift Engineer, you will assist in ensuring the proper functioning of engineering and maintenance operations, including general property maintenance and energy conservation. You will also contribute to the development of the Engineering Team and stay updated on compliance regulations relevant to hotel standards. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance in hotel rooms
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests
  • Executing preventative maintenance schedules and maintaining equipment and areas to standard
  • Assisting with energy conservation initiatives
  • Recommending system improvements and energy savings
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
  • Updating technical knowledge and skills

What are we looking for?

A Shift Engineer serving Hilton brands should embody our values and work on behalf of our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing
  • Knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
  • Experience in a large hotel, hospital, ship, or similar environment
  • A strong work ethic
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • The ability to work independently within set timeframes
