SHEQ Coordinator (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality)

Kidderminster
Full-time Permanent (Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 3:30pm)
£30,000 - £35,000

Are you a hands on professional with experience around health and safety, environment or quality looking for a broader role where you can genuinely influence how a manufacturing business operates?

We're working with a well established and growing manufacturing organisation seeking a SHEQ Coordinator to support and enhance safety, quality and environmental performance across the business. This is a varied, business facing role offering real exposure across operations, suppliers and customer outcomes.

This opportunity would likely suit someone in the early stages of their SHEQ career and looking for progression.

The Role

Reporting into the Operations Director, you'll play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, while also supporting the continuous improvement of quality across the full supply chain.

This is not just a compliance role as you'll be actively involved in driving improvements, influencing teams and helping shape processes that impact product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment
  • Support the development and implementation of H&S strategy
  • Coordinate risk assessments, safe systems of work and permit to work processes
  • Maintain SHEQ records, audits, inspections and compliance documentation
  • Deliver H&S inductions and support ongoing training requirements
  • Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure full compliance
  • Assist with incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Support and drive quality processes across manufacturing, suppliers and logistics
  • Work with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and performance
  • Monitor customer feedback and complaints, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Ensure standards, specifications and testing processes are maintained and adhered to
  • Contribute to new product introduction processes
  • Track and report on quality metrics, including defects, returns and supplier performance
Environmental
  • Support environmental compliance across the business
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing waste and environmental impact
Requirements

We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail oriented and confident working across multiple teams in a manufacturing environment.

Essential
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Exposure to Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality or Compliance processes
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or similar
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data, systems and documentation
  • Confident communicator, able to engage across shop floor and management teams
Desirable
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
  • Background in supplier quality, audits or continuous improvement
  • Experience in FMCG, automotive or similar fast paced environments
