We are looking for one "remote SharePoint-Online-Developer" to start ASAP (from ASAP/Nov., desired) an initial contract til years' end (extensions possible) for an international Org' - client in ROME, where 100% REMOTE work is possible. Possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability. English speaking environment.

- On-Site in Rome would be great, but up to 100% Off-site/Off-shore is possible.

Context
Modernization of my UN-client SharePoint Online sites.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the modernization of the UN-client SharePoint Online sites. The consultant will work in alignment with the existing SharePoint support team, on implementation of new information architecture for SharePoint Online sites following the best practices, modernize classic SharePoint sites, re-organize content to fit the new information architecture, convert customizations done using Content Editor webparts to equivalent OOTB features available in SPO or using SPFx solutions etc.
The consultant will be responsible for the following:
- Implementation of the new information architecture on SharePoint Online, following the Microsoft recommended best practices.
- Convert classic SharePoint sites into modern sites.
- Convert site collections with subsites into hub site model.
- Re-structuring of SharePoint content to fit to the new information architecture.
- Retire custom solutions built on SharePoint using out of the box (OOTB) features wherever possible.
- Convert content editor based webparts into SPFx solutions if OOTB equivalent solution is not available.
- Implement and maintain systems integration via custom API when needed.
- Customizations, when required, should be considered in terms of cost benefit and impact on existing customizations and integrations.
- Develop access management review process using SharePoint Site Access Reviews feature.
- Respond to user issues and requests, managed via Footprints, with appropriate solutions for bugs and ensuring that OOTB features are the default option.
- Resolve issues related to the post implementation and provide post go-live support
- Document all the configurations, SPFx solutions.
Professional requirements
- Experience in configuration and customization of SharePoint Online out of the box functionalities like configuring list/libraries, view/column formatting, OOTB webparts etc.
- Excellent understanding of out of the box versus custom solution development in the context of SharePoint Online.
- Hands-on experience in SharePoint migration, site restructuring using Sharegate.
- Excellent SharePoint Development experience precisely SharePoint Framework (ReactJs).
- Experience of developing workflows in Power Automate.
- Knowledge of configuring Security, Privacy and Permission in SharePoint.
- Experience using git as source code repository.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 suite and the integration between SharePoint and other tools like Teams, Outlook, Forms etc.
- Experience of gathering and documenting user requirements
- Any Microsoft certifications a bonus
Qualification and experience
- First level University degree with at least 5 years of professional work experience, of which minimum 4 years must be with building and supporting SharePoint Online applications using OOTB features and SPFx, Power Automate, PowerApps etc.
- Experience of both designing and executing technical solutions from business requirements.
- Ability to document technical projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
