Job Description
Main duties of the job
  • providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues.
  • undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
  • using a camera system to document injuries.
  • sharing information where appropriate.
  • supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
  • forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.

All successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.

Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARCs, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role.

Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.

Location: The Solace Centre SARC, Surrey and additional locations through the South East

Hours: 24 hours per week, covering days, nights and weekend. 24/7 Monday - Sunday

Salary: Pro Rata £45,965.58 per annum based on a 42 hour per week FTE (£20.99 per hour)

Qualifications
  • Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic.
  • NMC pin, RGN
  • A minimum of 3 years + Nursing post qualification experience acute medical healthcare experience.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
  • Knowledge and understanding confidentiality.
  • A full UK driving license.
