Job Description

Sewer Technician - £30,534plus standby payments and use of company van. Full time, permanent - 37 hours per week. Location: Cambridge & Newmarket area (within 20min of these locations).

What you will be doing
  • Operate a single person, high pressure water jetting unit (trained) and CCTV equipment to identify and promote repair work.
  • Investigate and resolve sewerage issues for customers (first time resolutions).
  • Respond to incidents and complete planned maintenance work.
  • Accurately collate and record all feedback from site via IT systems.
  • Work predominantly lone, engaging daily with internal and external customers.
  • Standby roster - ready to tackle out of hours work to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols and work within confined spaces and at heights.
What it takes to be a Sewer Technician
  • Experience or willingness to work outside in all weathers; hands on/manual experience beneficial.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with initiative.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Full driving license (4.5tonne licence advantageous - training provided if needed).
  • Ability to work within confined space and at height; harness weight limit
  • Completion of relevant occupational health checks, including Hand Arm Vibration (HAV).
