Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Carpentry & Joinery professional to join our Construction team at Ore Valley, supporting apprentices through high-quality teaching and work-based assessment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, working with motivated learners and a supportive curriculum and apprenticeship team.

This exciting role will include:

  • Delivering high quality Carpentry and Joinery teaching across a range of full time and/or part time learner programmes
  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging practical and theoretical sessions aligned to curriculum requirements
  • Supporting learners with progress reviews, skills development, and the completion of portfolios or practical outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive learner experience and consistently high standards of teaching and learning
  • Contributing to curriculum development to ensure provision reflects current industry practice

If you can demonstrate the following, then we'd love to hear from you:

  • A relevant Level 2 qualification in Carpentry and/or Joinery (or equivalent) (Level 3 is desirable.)
  • Strong industry experience within Carpentry and Joinery, demonstrating current occupational competence
  • Experience teaching, training, coaching or assessing learners in Carpentry and Joinery, either in group settings or on a 1:1 basis
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching, learner support, and continuous professional development
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners

Annual salary: Circa £32-£42 per hour inc Holiday Rate

(Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Sessional - There will be consistent hours with more possibly available once enrolment is completed and final timetabling completed.
