Job Description

ServiceNow Developer 6mth+ €NEG

Salt Solutions are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our client on an initial six-month contingent engagement.

The successful candidate will work across the platform, designing, configuring and delivering ServiceNow capabilities that improve the employee experience and strengthen internal service delivery.

Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineering Managers and Technical Programme Managers, the engineer will contribute across multiple ServiceNow product areas including Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), Legal Service Delivery (LSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), Now Assist and other platform capabilities.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering scalable, maintainable platform solutions while contributing to engineering quality, platform stability and continuous improvement across the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

Platform engineering

  • Design, configure and develop capabilities across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Deliver enhancements across multiple ServiceNow products and modules.
  • Build scalable, maintainable platform solutions using standard ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Promote configuration over customisation wherever possible.
  • Contribute to continuous platform evolution and engineering excellence.

Solution delivery

  • Deliver engineering work from prioritised product backlogs.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to understand business requirements.
  • Build high-quality technical solutions aligned with engineering standards.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation and backlog refinement.
  • Deliver platform capabilities that improve employee and operational experiences.

Platform development

  • Configure workflows, forms, business rules, catalog items and automations.
  • Develop integrations where required using standard platform capabilities.
  • Support implementation across multiple ServiceNow modules.
  • Maintain reusable platform components.
  • Ensure platform solutions remain scalable and supportable.
