On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a ServiceNow Developer for a 6 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in any DWP Hub (Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Blackpool or London) 3 days per week.
This role supports the ongoing implementation of the Function Assessment Service (FAS). You'll complete development work and deliver business enhancements to the DWP Place offering, helping the department meet its objectives.
As a ServiceNow Developer you will ensure development within your feature team(s) meets both the stated requirements and the standards defined by the Product Delivery Unit (PDU). You'll provide technical guidance and escalation support to developers and other team members.
You'll contribute to the ServiceNow Development Lifecycle as part of a delivery team focused on one or more products, providing specialist technical support and ensuring the definition and delivery of functional requirements aligned to roadmap developments.
As a ServiceNow Developer your main responsibilities will be to:
. Deliver new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle and DWP Place roadmap.
. Complete assigned stories or escalate blockers to ensure development is completed to expected standards and are delivered within timescales.
. Ensure secure and performant configuration of ServiceNow products.
. Collaborate with the Delivery Manager, feature team members, internal teams and end users as part of the ServiceNow Product Delivery Unit (PDU).
. Create and maintain documentation.
Technical Skills required:
. Excellent understanding of ServiceNow platform components.
. Strong understanding of client side functionality.
. Strong understanding of Server Side functionality and API's.
Knowledge and Experience required:
. Minimum 2 years' of hands on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
. Experience building, configuring and implementing ServiceNow features, applications and integrations.
. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across an enterprise tooling infrastructure, individually or as part of a team.
. Experience delivering solutions within an agile framework.
. Experience working in large scale organisations and/or Government or Public Sector installation of Service Now.
. Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change).
Desirable:
. Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS.
. ITIL Qualification or relevant experience/skills.
. Current ServiceNow platform Certification.
