Service Support Assistant (EXTERNAL to NHS staff HFDS & Worcs)

This position works under direct supervision of the Clinical Site Manager on shift in support of a 24/7 patient flow service undertaking tasks and duties delegated. The main element of the role is to provide specialist cleaning to areas within Wye Valley Trust to minimise the risk of cross contamination. This is a vital role to ensure the safety of patients moving around the Trust.

Main duties of the job

• Providing 24/7 support to patient flow by maintaining the cleanliness of the environment as and when directed by Clinical Site Manager
• Using equipment provided as required for the task
• Completing all audit and quality standards documentation as required
• Recognising and reporting to appropriate senior staff any equipment failure or environmental factors that have the potential of an adverse impact

Person Specification Education & Qualifications

• Secondary Education

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Able to demonstrate understanding of hygiene standards in a clinical environment.
• Ability to follow instruction / work on own
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people

Experience

• Willing to develop skills and competencies relevant to the role
• Working in a Hospital environment or similar environment
