Service Manager for Respiratory Sleep Medicine, NIV and PhysiologyThe closing date is 06 October 2025
The role will support the Deputy General Manager in the day to day operational management of the services Trust wide; providing visible site leadership alongside the Respiratory Nurse Consultant and Specialty Clinical Leads. The post will support the Deputy General Manager to develop and monitor the service strategies. The role will support the formulation of the annual service plan, implanting this plan and monitoring progress.
Main duties of the jobContribute to the formulation and implementation of service delivery plans, patient pathways, annual business plan and activity and income plans to ensure quality services are developed and maintained.
Work with the senior management team to produce, revise and update policies and procedures to establish and maintain high standards of working practice.
Undertake a range of service improvement projects and required delegated duties. This will include the development of Cost Improvement Progammes schemes to ensure efficiencies but also supporting the patient flow on each site with the management team.
Deputise for the Deputy General Manager in any aspects relating to the service for both the emergency pathways and the elective/outpatient pathways.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to degree level, equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
- Interpreting and applying national policy, guidance and regulations/legislation for implementation
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long -term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
- Understanding of Information Governance and confidentiality
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this effects visitors, patients and staff
- Understanding of the NHS constitution
- Knowledge of DMO1, RTT and Cancer access targets
