Job Description
Service Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join Lloyd Motor Group based in Blackpool.

Salary: Basic Salary with OTE £50,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 Saturday 08:30 - 13:00

Role responsibilities
  • Managing the Service team to ensure first class customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Developing the technical skills and workmanship of the team to continually improve the quality of customer service and profitability of the department.
  • Working with the Marketing team to maximise opportunity within AOI and customer retention strategy.
  • Creating annual sales & profit plans & forecasts along with operational budgets.
  • Finance and cost control; working closely with the Retailer Accountant to understand, monitor, control and manage costs where possible.
  • Stock management - ensuring that there is adequate stock available on site at all times and that processes are followed in correctly identifying and warehousing stock items.
  • Ensuring best practice housekeeping and health and safety standards are kept for both service and parts departments.
Ideal candidate skills and experiences
  • Good leadership skills in managing a team of Service Advisors, Parts Advisors and Parts Delivery Driver.
  • Excellent customer relations.
  • Proficiency in analysing reports and managing costs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a well presented appearance.
  • Must be IT literate, and working knowledge of Kerridge would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry is essential.
