Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Service Manager within the Fostering Team to work Full Time for Fostering Innovations, based in Uxbridge, London.
The salary for this permanent Service Manager job is up to £60,000 per annum.
Responsibilities- Monitor and control the activities of the Fostering Service and ensure quality performance that exceeds the National Minimum Standards and meets the Fostering Services (England) Regulations.
- Ensure the fostering service is organised, managed and staffed to produce the best possible outcomes for children, safeguarding being at the centre of all you do.
- To manage a high-quality fostering service ensuring that comprehensive support services and robust supervision is provided to all foster carers.
- To supervise and manage a staff team, including social workers and other social work staff, providing support, supervision and advice.
- To work within financial budget and promote good practice and placement stability, to ensure the continuing security of the company.
- To be a member of the Management Team and contribute to strategic planning for the agency.
- To supervise Form F assessment work ensuring that high standards are maintained and are compliant with agency standards, within agreed timescales.
- To work closely with Fostering Manager and Director to create fostering panel schedules.
- To lead the foster carer recruitment task under the direction of the Director's and to achieve annual foster carer recruitment target.
- To manage a team of Assistant Team Manager, Practice Manager and Supervising Social Workers.
- To promote learning and development in the workforce and contribute to the development and delivery of training across the workforce.
- To work closely with the Directors, Social Workers and Foster Carers to establish, develop and maintain productive working relationships.
- To liaise with multi agency partners, including LADO's in relation to any safeguarding matter regarding children placed through Team.
- To undertake mandatory safeguarding training in relation to their work with children and young people.
- To safeguard the confidentiality of information relating to carers, children and young people at all times in accordance with agency policies and procedures and government guidelines.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, which may include occasional evenings and weekends.
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Proven past experience of management.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Relevant Social Work experience.
