SALARY: £83,411 - £98,130

LOCATION: Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds or Bristol

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

About this opportunity

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're moving to the next stages of our digital transformation, and it's our job within the Chief Security Office (CSO) to ensure that we keep our customers, colleagues and assets safe from threat. The CSO's Security Data Services lab have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Data Management lead to work with our Analytics and Data Management feature teams.


In this role, you'll be responsible for embedding data management principles that not only support operational excellence but also strengthen our cyber resilience. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data is trusted, secure, and actionable-enabling threat intelligence, incident response, and risk mitigation at scale.

What you'll do

  • Lead the Data Management Service: Design and deliver a data management service that supports the CSO's mission to protect the organisation's most critical assets. This includes ownership of critical elements of our data architecture.

  • Embed Data Security by Design: Ensure data governance, quality, and lifecycle management are aligned with security policies, regulatory requirements, and threat models.

  • Enable Secure Data Use: Partner with cyber defence, threat intel, and engineering teams to ensure data is discoverable, usable, and protected across its lifecycle.

  • Drive Data Culture: Promote data ownership, literacy, and accountability across the CSO, helping teams make informed, secure decisions.

  • Champion Innovation: Enable secure use of data for automation, AI, and advanced analytics within the lab and beyond.

  • Lead and Inspire: Partner with the feature teams in the lab and across the platform, fostering a culture of trust, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need:

  • Deep experience in enterprise data management, ideally within a cyber security, risk, or regulated environment.

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata, lineage, and data quality.

  • Familiarity with security and privacy standards and how they intersect with data management.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience delivering services in agile, matrixed environments.

  • A passion for secure, ethical, and impactful use of data.

It would be great if you also had

  • Understanding of the emerging threats within Cyber Security
