Key Responsibilities
  • On-site servicing & maintenance: Install, commission, service, and maintain peristaltic pumps to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnostics and repair: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and operational issues with pumps on customer sites in biopharm and industrial environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve problems related to pump systems, including vfds, electronics, and electrical components.
  • Repair & warranty processing: Handle repair tasks in service centres and on-site, manage warranty claims per company policies, and coordinate with service teams and customers for timely repair or replacement.
  • Proactive maintenance proposals: Identify opportunities for maintenance contracts and propose tailored agreements with the sales team to strengthen long-term customer relationships and performance.
  • Safety & compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure work complies with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Technical support: Provide technical advice and support to customers; assist with troubleshooting and repairs involving electrical components, vfds, and control systems (e.g., Profibus, RS485).
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed service records and provide post-service reports with maintenance recommendations and technical guidance.
  • Customer support & relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships, communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide service support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 3+ years in servicing, repairing, and maintaining peristaltic pumps, ideally in biopharm or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with peristaltic pump systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems and VFD control systems.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service equipment; familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, RS485) is a plus; solid understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, valves, and fluid handling equipment.
  • Safety: Commitment to safety and ability to follow established safety guidelines; understanding of safety standards in biopharm and industrial environments.
  • Soft skills: Problem-solving, independent work capability, strong communication, time management, and ability to manage multiple service requests.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site servicing, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Office 365, presentation skills, PLC programming and control systems; experience in regulated biopharmaceutical environments is an advantage.
  • Personal attributes: Self-motivated, customer-oriented, detail-focused, and adaptable to varying work environments.
