Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Service Electrician to join a leading engineering company supporting water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the West of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to work in a varied and hands on role involving installation, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance of electrical systems across treatment plants, pumping stations and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate will join an experienced service team and play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities Electrical Installation & Commissioning

• Install and commission electrical equipment within water and wastewater treatment facilities
• Carry out electrical installations on pumping stations and industrial sites
• Install, wire, commission and configure motor starters and associated equipment
• Complete commissioning checks and verification activities in accordance with industry standards

Maintenance & Fault Finding

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently
• Follow electrical schematics and troubleshoot control panel faults
• Support planned preventative maintenance programmes

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete service reports and commissioning documentation
• Issue calibration certificates where required
• Maintain accurate daily records and health & safety documentation
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician
• RECI or ECSSA Certification
• Experience in industrial electrical maintenance and service work
• Strong electrical fault finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full Clean Irish Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

• Water and wastewater industry experience
• Industrial automation and control panel experience
• Pump station and treatment plant experience
• Commissioning experience
• Experience working on industrial or utility infrastructure projects
