Role Overview
Our client is seeking a professional and personable Service Desk Analyst to join their IT support team in Bedford. This role is primarily focused on logging and triaging technical issues, rather than resolving them directly. It's ideal for someone with a strong customer service background and an interest in IT support.This is a full-time, office-based role, requiring attendance five days a week at the Bedford office.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related queries via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Log incidents and service requests with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensure all relevant information is captured to support efficient issue resolution
- Assign and escalate tickets to appropriate technical teams
- Maintain clear, professional communication with users throughout the support process
- Provide basic troubleshooting support where appropriate (eg password resets)
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a customer service or IT support role
- Ability to follow structured processes and work efficiently under pressure
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
- Willingness to work on-site in Bedford five days a week
What you'll get in return
- 3-Month Contract
- £135 - 140 per day inside IR35 (via umbrella company)
