Job Description
Support management of Depot Movements by acting as the PICoTM and DP, assisting the Depot Manager in ensuring all areas of the business are kept up to date and deputizing for the Depot Manager during leave. This role involves contractor management, issue of permits to work, driving depot continuous improvement innovations, and maintaining depot HSEQ requirements. The incumbent will act as the key contact for site and customer problem solving, manage team leads, fitters, FPAs and service assistants, cover overnight servicing, support training and competence assessments, and lead maintenance teams to achieve production targets and operational efficiencies.

- Assist the Depot Manager in ensuring all areas of the business are kept up to date, deputizing for the Depot Manager during leave.
- Contractor management and issue of permits to work.
- Drive depot continuous improvement innovations.
- Maintain and manage Depot HSEQ requirements.
- Act as key contact for site and customer problem solving.
- Help manage team leads, fitters, FPAs and service assistants.
- Cover overnight servicing within competence, covering for team leaders or fitting staff.
- Support the Training and Competence team with local assessments and training of staff members.
- Lead, support, motivate and work with maintenance teams to achieve production targets and implement best practice and operational efficiencies.
- Communicate and participate in planning across other departments, enabling stronger team cohesion.
- Ensure trains are maintained, cleaned and serviced safely to agreed quality standards and operational requirements for ATC and its customers.
- Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output at the relevant ATC depot site.
- Hold 121s and RTW's with direct reports in a timely fashion if the Depot Manager is unavailable.
- Carry out initial training of new staff members including overnight operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure they meet job requirements and have relevant training.
- Maintain good employee relations with direct team and follow HR policies when dealing with employee relations matters.
- Manage operational incidents to minimise disruption to ATC infrastructure and customer services.
- Ensure all staff receive technical/non technical and safety briefs as required.
- Ensure compliance with required close out timelines.
- Identify recruitment needs and participate in the selection process.
- Provide input to induction and training programmes.
- Act as PICoTM for all depot movements and DP for setting up safe systems of work during duty.
- Populate and deliver meaningful KPIs for internal and external monitoring.
- Attend daily internal and external conference calls.
- Daily management of all store deliveries, booking stock into the ATC system and support weekly depot stock checks.
- Manage sub contractors/agency personnel, ensuring contractors meet full obligations and comply with safety requirements.
- Carry out depot inductions for visitors, contractors and new personnel.
- Directly manage calibrated items, fuel stock ordering and control of depot waste streams.
- Act as depot document controller, managing briefs and archiving documentation.
- Ensure work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards.
- Act as lead for depot 6S and continuous improvement innovations.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Record activity effectively in SAP, Maximo and E2M.
- Ensure safe movement of vehicles while complying with company procedures.
- Assist with HSEQ requirements on depot including legionella, fire alarms, emergency lighting, depot risk assessments and work instructions.
- Carry out safety tours and ensure actions are closed in a timely manner.
- Act as First Aider and Fire Warden during duty.
- Investigate near misses, accidents/incidents and close them out promptly.
- Undertake competence assessment of relevant team members and audit compliance, supporting internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement innovations.
- Use PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions.
- Ensure effective handover between shifts so that the next shift management is aware of all issues and expectations.
- Ensure wellbeing of all relevant personnel.
- Operate forklift truck when needed.
