Commercial Fleet Services (CFS) sits at the heart of this growth, delivering nationwide tyre, servicing and maintenance solutions through a large network of depots and mobile service vans across the UK. Supported by a vast network of garages, retail outlets and mobile vans, Halfords delivers an integrated product and services ecosystem dedicated to ensuring a lifetime of motoring and cycling across the UK.
Following a period of acquisition-led expansion, CFS is now entering a critical phase of operational transformation and performance acceleration. We are seeking a Service Delivery Director to lead this national operation into its next phase.
Nature and Scope of the RoleThe Service Delivery Director will have full accountability for the operational performance of CFS, leading a UK-wide team of approximately 700 colleagues across depot operations, mobile and breakdown service delivery.
The role will be responsible for driving safety, service excellence, productivity and profitability at scale, embedding a consistent safety-first and high-performance culture across a large, complex operational estate.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across Halfords B2B network.
Key Responsibilities- Full operational P&L ownership, driving productivity, margin and cost control.
- Leading national depot, mobile operations and breakdown service delivery.
- Leading the CFS operations team, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient service delivery.
- Embedding a safety-first culture across all depots and mobile operations.
- Driving continuous improvement in depot performance, labour models and operating standards.
- Driving productivity, margin, cost control, service improvement and leveraging customer & competitor insights for strategic decision making.
- Leading large-scale operational and cultural transformation.
- Owning client operational delivery and service performance against SLAs.
- Building strong leadership capability, succession and talent pipelines
- Proven senior leadership experience within large, multi-site depot-based operations.
- Background within automotive, fleet, tyre, garage or closely aligned service environments.
- Track record of leading large teams through operational and cultural transformation.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience of P&L ownership.
- Analytical mindset with strong financial acumen and data driven decision making skills.
- Authentic, high energy, goal oriented with a passion for safety and service excellence.
