Job Description
  • Define, plan, track and manage delivery of Viatel products and projects to ensure overall solutions are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Data entry to relevant order management systems for progression of customer orders through all stages of delivery.
  • Manage available resource time from relevant experts to define and deliver individual project tasks to meet goals, time-scale and budget.
  • Keep internal and external customers updated regularly on delivery of services through weekly updates and WIP meetings.
  • Apply sound project management standards and procedures to ensure quality, timely, on budget delivery.
Requirements and Experience
  • Must have at least 2 years' experience working in a similar role in a Service / Utility environment.
  • Experience with managing delivery of various technologies: fixed line, wireless, satellite, xDSL, IP, VPN, MPLS, Layer 2 and 3, VoIP, and server solutions with excellent track record in project delivery.
  • Good team skills.
  • Sound experience in building and sustaining effective and trusted relationship at all levels.
  • Planning and organising skills - having clear and regularly updated project plans and RAID (Risk, Action, Issue, Decision) logs are key to ensuring all supplier, individuals and the organisation are aligned to delivering projects.
  • Influencing and persuading skills - ensuring the entire team understands the importance of hitting deadlines and delivering quality work with the end customer always in mind.
  • Delivery of results - continued focus on delivery of the Project Delivery KPI's which will be linked to individual and team objectives.
  • Focusing on the customer - both internally and externally.
  • 3rd Level and/or Professional Certification - Engineering / Business Administration / Project Management an advantage.
